Nature of telehealth
Telehealth involves the use of secure electronic communication, information technology and other means between a provider and a patient who are not in the same physical location.
Aurevia's telehealth services include assessment, consultation, prescription where clinically appropriate, laboratory review and ongoing care.
Potential benefits
Convenient access to US board-certified providers without the time and travel of an in-person visit.
Continuity of care across every Aurevia protocol, with secure messaging between visits.
Coordinated delivery of medication from licensed US pharmacies.
Potential limitations and risks
Telehealth may not be appropriate for every clinical situation. In-person evaluation may be recommended where clinically indicated.
Technology limitations, connectivity issues or interruptions may affect the quality of a telehealth encounter.
As with any medical service, treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Results may vary.
Confidentiality
Telehealth communications are conducted through HIPAA-secure infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
The same confidentiality protections that apply to in-person medical encounters apply to telehealth encounters with Aurevia.
Your consent
By engaging Aurevia's services, you consent to receive care via telehealth as described in this notice.
You understand that you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting your right to future care.
Emergency care
Aurevia is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
